This is a favorite of professional athletes and recreational enthusiasts alike. The knees to elbows starts with a straight arm hang with a reverse (chin-up) grip. The knees are then raised to the elbows. Very simple, yet very effective. As trainers, we make sure that you keep a good pace and attempt not to swing on the bar. This will ensure that you are using your muscles as the exercise was intended to do. Some of you will recognize this movement as an “Ab-Strap” or “Hanging Abs” exercise. These are funny little toys that you can hang on bars, and put your elbows in. This is a suitable starting point, but the goal should be to free yourself from these. At Athlon Elite, you can start at any level, but you will always finish better. We promise that.
