This week we will dedicate the blogging to getting your butt back in gear, and actually succeeding in your new year’s resolutions. All goals must start with a strong plan, so this week we will talk about the little word plan.

Planning is a very powerful tool for any goal, but it is absolutely essential for eating and exercise goals. We must hold ourselves accountable to succeed. So, my plan for this week is to help you start yours.

Monday is usually Nutrition Tip of the Week, so let’s start with diet planning. This is quite easy, and you’ve heard me talk about this stuff before. Just follow these easy steps….

1) Get a goal weight in mind, then multiply the number of pounds you want to shed by 3500. This is a good guess as to how many calories you must burn to succeed. (Ex: 20 lbs = 70,000) Cool huh?

2) Buy a little book, a calendar, or use your smart phone to start writing down your foods.

3) Make a shopping list, and learn some new recipes that include more fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole grains.

That’s it! It’s a good start, and the beginning to a new you!
