I’m actually embarrassed that I have not shared this workout with you sooner. This is an absolute necessary exercise for any athlete. It is especially important for any of you joggers or cyclists out there. Regardless of your sport, the glutes are needed to protect your knees and keep you in the game.

This exercise is essentially a single leg squat with a reach behind. It relies heavily on the gluteus medius, which is a very important mover for lateral changes in speed and velocity.

Having goos balance, and good glute activation will strongly decrease your susceptibility to knee injury, knee pain, and other chronic injuries.
