One of the least understood aspects of high level training is the recovery process,  We all know that the work that we do is critical, but just as important (probably more important) is the rest and nutrition plans we utilize.

Most individuals involved in any serious sort of conditioning need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep per night.  Go to bed, it is part of your fitness routine!

The other important aspect that we feel Athlon Elite does better than anyone is create training programs that can be modified to accommodate injury.  If your workouts have started to cause that shoulder to act up or that knee to start hurting, don’t be alarmed.   We are here to help!  If you are noticing something that does not feel right, let us know and we will coordinate with one of our Physical Therapists to take a look at the issue and modify your program accordingly.  Candidly, if you don’t have some soreness and injury management as a part of your routine, you are a rare exception.  High level training is just as much about listening to your body as it is about meeting up with Pukie. Part of being in high level training routines is learning about your body and how it reacts to various exercises and intensities.

Finally, do not underestimate nutrition.  Get your Fluid into your system within 20 minutes of your workout and eat healthy.  You don’t have to be a nut, just pay attention when you are making food choices.

Oh yeah, and as always, FREE Vitamin D in your killer outdoor session at Athlon Elite.
