As a member of the local group HEAL-SLO (Healthy Eating Active Living) I am open to the various thoughts and ideas that are currently being thrown around as it relates to a "healthier" community. One of the more interesting concepts is pushing for local restaurants to "publish" calorie counts for the various items on their menu.
So, what do you think? Would you be any more or less likely to order an item if you knew the calorie count?
Thoughts?

I would definitely make better food choices knowing the calorie content. But what’s also important to me is the amount of fat and types of fat in it… saturated? Trans? etc.

I agree. I recently tried to find the nutrition facts for the Vons subs… no luck. I know I would make better choices if I could read what I was eating. It is so much easier to forget about it when it is unknown.
