So, you are looking to go real fast…….

Run Travis, run…

Well, we need to know a few things before we can maximize your training:  fast at what, fast when, fast for how long?

Let’s just assume we mean run fast, for a brief period of time, (say 5-10 seconds) or about 100 meters if you are superhuman, or 40-60 meters for us mere mortals.

To run fast in a short period of time you have to train two things:

-1, stride length (the distance you travel between foot contacts).  At Athlon Elite you train stride length through improving your ability to apply force to the ground, and hence propel yourself further each step.

Rick Ramsay applying power…

-and 2, Stride frequency (the quickness of your "stepping" or turn-over)

Derek Inman turning his wheels… fast!

You improve stride frequency typically training your sprint mechanics through sprint drills with good running coaches like Armand Boutte, track & field coach at San Luis Obispo High School.

You need to train correctly to go real fast.  If you are competing for a speed event, let us know and we can create a training program of power drills that will make you go faster, and even program some assisted speed work in for you.

Might even see some real fast effort stuff tomorrow………

Get your gnarly dose of HGH without the needles and learn to run FAST at Athlon Elite!  Be a Spartan, train like a Spartan!
